The centre is home to indoor hockey, many other sports, concerts, fairs and exhibitions each year. The 3D system was mounted as a permanent fixture inside the arena,
and is used to routinely test and improve the 360 Replays camera system.

The prototype is a partial install consisting of 16 high end Pan-Tilt-Zoom video cameras, a wide-angle overhead camera, and enough computing resources to make even the most scrutinizing comp-sci geek envious. Footage from from major-junior hockey games supplies the juice required to produce 3D video replays. The prototype consists of 16 cameras in the main "string", whereas a full system would utilize 72 cameras and have a far greater view of the playing surface.
